Good Evening, With the progression of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) throughout our country and community along with the recent guidelines set forth by Mayor Ron Nirenberg, Embrace! Church will be meeting virtually online. It is important during these trying times, that we remain committed to our church and everyone in it. We are all here to support each other and do what we can to uplift and encourage in the face of adversity. While it may be easy to not engage in our online virtual meetings, I encourage you to make it a point to be a part of each and every one of them. You never know who may need to hear YOUR words of encouragement. The platform that we are utilizing is GoToMeeting and it will allow us to continue to engage with each other through voice and video. Information on how to access the meeting is included in all of our Facebook Page/Events, on our Website, on our church calendar, and in this announcement. Although, the most detailed information and resources will be found here and our website. This is unchartered waters for our church, and I anticipate a few bumps due to the use of technology. Yet, we are doing all we can to mitigate any technical hurdles we may face. Our website and this announcement include all of the information needed to join virtually, as well as links to videos, text resources, and an ability for you to reach out and call me in case you have any trouble. The following are a few things that you can do to prepare: --The platform supports PC, MAC, Apple, and Android devices. For the best experience it is recommended you use a PC or MAC with a Camera & Microphone. Many ear buds and web cams include a microphone in them which can be used. --Go ahead and log into the meeting room now. I will keep myself logged into the virtual meeting room so that you successfully login in before our scheduled meeting times. Once in the room take note of how to mute your microphone, camera, and how to chat. --Do not hesitate to reach out to me for help. I will ensure my phone is nearby so that I can assist you. Please use the church number at 210-647-6053. As I mentioned during the sermon last Sunday, it is important that our church comes together, in whatever capacity that we can, to worship our Creator, and encourage each other through faith. Even then, I understand and recognize that there may be some anxiety, stress, and perhaps some fear in what is going on in our world right now. If you have a need, perhaps a trip that needs to be made for you, an encouraging word, a delivery of supplies, whatever it may be, do not hesitate to reach out so that we can assist as best we can. If you have any questions, again, do not hesitate to reach out. I look forward to our first virtual meeting this Thursday for Bible Study and Prayer at 7PM. Invite a guest to join us online. Be well, stay safe, stay faithful. In His Service, Joseph Cuestas Pastor | Embrace! Church of San Antonio Pastor@EmbraceChurchSA.org | 210-647-6053 |
